Start in Cowes on Saturday 24 July, finishing in Cherbourg in France on Wednesday 28 or Thursday 29. On Friday 30 july, the prize-giving ceremony will take place in Cherbourg, followed by an evaluation at Le Val Castle and a boat clean-up with the trainees.

Mandatory training days
From Saturday, 17 July, through Friday, 23 July—the week leading up to the start—participation in the Fastnet Race training programme is mandatory.
Earlier in July, there will also be a recommended delivery sail from Breskens to Cherbourg. Following the delivery, there will be a period of rest in Cherbourg, after which the training programme will continue from Cherbourg. During this period, accommodation will be provided at Château “Le Val”.
On Friday, 23 July, the day before the start, the yacht will sail from Cherbourg to the Solent, where the team will spend the night on board in preparation for the start of the Fastnet Race.
After finishing the Fastnet Race, there will be a well-earned and mandatory recovery period at Château Le Val. This will include rest, an evaluation of the race, a celebration with the team, and cleaning and preparing the boat.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Friday, 30 July. Following the ceremony, the team will depart for the Netherlands.
